Google Docs!

Google Docs Rocks! As you can see I saw the video and I thought it was very cute! Google Documents is great! I am a youth leader at my church and when we have meetings a lot of information can go unoticed so this is a great feature for us. I can just share the doc with the other youth leaders.

What's a Wiki?

Book Lovers Wiki for contemporary fiction caught my eye. I was also wondering if maybe they had music wikis out there? I would really be interested in that.

Finding New Feeds

Findind new feeds was not so bad. I subscribed to the "Coming Soon" feed for movies coming to the theaters. The site was very bright and colorful and user friendly. Now that I know about feeds I find myself subscribing to a lot of them! It cuts the time I spend on Google searching for new information in half.

RSS

Google reader is a great way to get up to date information on all your favorite subjects in one place. I added Smith Point Neighborhood News to my google reader.

Suffolk Wave

Suffolk Wave was "A-okay." I like how you don't HAVE to worry about over due fees and all that mess.
I downloaded the BACH, J.S.: Schubler Chorales / Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. 'Why' you ask? Well, because J.S. Bach is the man of course!!

I have heard this library talk about flickr in many different mettings and I never thought to check to it out. And now that I had to give it a try, I have to say I really really like it!! I don't think I will ever use google images again!

I choose this photo because I have always wanted to go to Spain and I hope to one day soon get that chance. Until that marvelous day I will be looking at the pictures of Barcelona on flickr!

YouTube

I love YouTube you can find anything and everything on this site. If you are looking to learn origami, or spanish, or to watch your favorite tv moments, music videos, concert performances; they even have step by step instructions on how to change the oil in your car!

I like to laugh so I picked a very popular video called "Scarlett Takes a Tumble"

The Library Thing

The Library Thing kind of reminds me of Shelfari, although I think Shelfari is better. I added "Painted Black", "The Learners" and "Make Lemonade". I loved reading books that really relate to life. The books that I choose are great for those who enjoy realistic fiction.

Delicious

I first heard about the Delicious site in the 2.0 meeting. I like using these tags for a search, you don't have to think of different ways to word something most of the work is done for you. I like the tag cloud on our OPAC as well.

Myspace and Facebook

Myspace and Facebook are the most popular 2.0 sites I believe to be out there. I first started using Myspace in 2004 and I was blown away by this new way of communication. About a year and a half ago I began using Facebook and I must say I enjoy Facebook more than Myspace! I think Facebook is much more user friendly and I like that I know what my friends and family are up to without having to go to their individual sites.

I have to say that I enjoy 2.0 technology and I am glad that is has made its into the workplace!
